iTunes Ping – Connect With Sweet 90s Bands

iTunes Ping

iTunes Ping is Apple’s attempt at creating a social network. It’s supposed to help you discover new music (so you can download it via iTunes… cha-ching!), but it falls short.

However, it’s still early and Ping has over 1 million users using the network.

Social networks (and Apple products) are always improving, adding new features and listening to what users want – and I’ll bet Ping will look much different 6 months from now. Remember when the iTunes movie store launched? I wrote about the tiny selection of 59 movies available for rent at the time. Now you can pick from hundreds of movies.

Is Ping perfect? No. Will it improve and become more useful? Absolutely… Until then, I’ll be “liking” my favorite, awful bands from the 80s & 90s.

If you want to connect with me Ping, search for Tony Stocco. Or we can talk on the twitter: @TonyStocco
