Macworld Keynote: Something for Everyone

A little giddy here. How bout you?

iPhone 1.1.3, iTunes movie rentals, MacBook Air. It’s enough to make an AppleSlut’s heart flutter.

I know. I said what I really wanted was a greener Apple. And that’s true. But he did that too.

Not that he came out and announced that they’re making green their Priority One. But he made it clear that it’s part of their algorithm now. It’s part of how they do what they do.

Here’s what he said: The MacBook Air (which, by the way, iWant) has Apple’s first mercury- and arsenic-free display, as well as bromide- and PVC-free circuit boards. The all-aluminum case is good for recycling, and they’ve made a 50% reduction in retail packaging. Stevie, you sweet-talker, you.

My other two favorite keynote moments: Gotta love the bit with the manilla envelope.

Plus, guest performer Randy Newman’s quote (after playing “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”):

I’ll always root against corporations because that’s the way I am. But not this one; this one’s different.

Dude. It’s true.
